Ever start something and realize you never clicked save, or publish, or well you know had a total brain fart? Well this is that post…..Looking back at 2020 and so far 2021 a lot has happened.
Plumbing in the Texas area was a trade that was unfathomable. I had heard stories from my husband of the freeze in the 80’s. It truly was something we never anticipated after the pandemic shut down almost the entire united states. The snowmegedan of 2021 proved to be a test for businesses. There were several factors that helped our small family business.
First – We have a rock star team and a fantastic leader, my husband – Bear. Our technicians worked tirelessly day after day until late night hours and continued to show up day after day, week after week. We processed over 2,000 phone calls. We returned every single voicemail call that was left. We responded to countless emails.
Time and time again we had customers tell us THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ANSWERING THE PHONE OR CALLING BACK – that no one that they had called would answer the phone, return a phone call or even show up when they made an appointment.
Second – We made the decision at the end of 2019 to start using a system to manage our customers, schedules, and dispatch. This was a game changer for us. We never would have been able to respond to all of the customers we had.
As I said in the first paragraph I started writing this sometime in 2021 and never completed it. If you are watching the weather for this week please make sure to wrap your exterior pipes. Here is a post from 2014 I wrote for preparing for a freeze. Baby its cold outside……
