Recently I received an email from a friend……..I know we are on borrowed time because our water heaters are 13 years old. 

Like anything these days the common phrase is they just don’t make it like they used to.   My friend was correct that you are on borrowed time with a 13 year old water heater. In that post we told our customers that 8 years is when you should start looking at replacing. Sometimes I hear Bear tell customers 8-10 years. So when you say 13…..well you should keep an eye on them. Look for any rust or water in the pan beneath the heaters. The last thing you want is for one of these to flood your house.
