The Plumbing Problems Nobody Wants to Talk About

There are some plumbing calls that homeowners never forget.

And trust me… a whole house stoppage is one of them.

Recently, we helped a homeowner in the Hannover Village subdivision of Spring who suddenly found themselves dealing with every homeowner’s nightmare:
🚽 Toilets backing up
🛁 Sewage coming up through the tub and shower
😳 Water going exactly where it should never go

Needless to say… it was not a good day.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that plumbing has a way of humbling all of us very quickly. Everything seems perfectly fine… until suddenly it’s not.

Thankfully, we were able to get one of our technicians out quickly to assess the situation and get the sewer line unstopped.

But here’s something Bear says all the time:
👉 “We don’t know what we can’t see.”

And honestly, that’s true in plumbing and in life.

Just because the line is flowing again doesn’t always mean the problem is completely gone. Tree roots, broken lines, settling, buildup — there can still be underlying issues hidden underground.

That’s why, to help put the customer at ease, we provided a free camera inspection with the augering of the sewer line. We wanted to verify the integrity of the line and make sure there weren’t larger problems waiting around the corner.

And thankfully… there weren’t.

The sewer line was clear. No hidden obstructions. No major damage. Just a restored plumbing system and one very relieved homeowner.

Another happy customer.
Another stinky situation handled. 😂

And honestly? Those are some of our favorite calls — not because they smell good (they absolutely do not), but because there’s something rewarding about helping people through stressful situations and giving them peace of mind again.

Because at the end of the day, plumbing isn’t just pipes and drains.

It’s helping families get their homes back to normal. 💙
